What does a DTC stating N/A indicate?

    Using a MS300 code reader, I am getting a DTC stating "n/a" for my only code. I am checking the reason for a MIL activation on my 2008 BMW X5 4.8i.

    "n/a" is not in code lists. Pls erase codes, then read codes again.
